"Loving the Little Years"

My good friend Sara gave me this book about a month and a half ago.  It has been on my night side table since then.  She told me it was great and I needed to read it right away.  I finally started it a few days ago and it is great. It is short, sweet and to the point.

The Foreward opens saying, "Sometimes all we really need is a fresh perspective on our circumstances.  we need someone to open a window and let a breeze blow into the room that we didn't realize had gotten so stuffy.  This book is about opening the windows."
The author, Rachel Jankovic, had 5 kids 5 and under when she wrote this book.  She sugar coats nothing!  But has a way of helping you see a new perspective on the things that could just drive you crazy (like sharpie marker all over the house and arms and legs).
We all need help with perspective!  Like sharpie all over the walls can go away with
one magic eraser.
The magic eraser did not fix Ella's cut up Disney World book, but at least no pages were cut up or drawn on that had Princess signatures or pictures!
"Motherhood in the Trenches."  It is what we are doing!  As much as I love it, it is hard!  And we all need encouragement!  "Loving the Little Years" is a great book for all moms with young children!

  1. It's definitely a great read -- thanks for friends like Sara (who recommended it to you) and Abigail (who recommended it to me). We mamas have to stick together!
