The kids and I just returned from a week long trip to visit my brother and his family in Iowa.
Yes, that is right. We drove 719 miles to Iowa!
Surprisingly, the drive they did very, very good in the car.
Stops like this helped a lot!
We drove to St. Louis the first day and spent the night with our good friends.
They introduced the kids to the new treat of cookie cutter pancakes with nutella and sprinkles!
The next day we made the 3 hour journey up to Iowa
(after a morning swim to wear the kids out)
And the fun began!!!
Parker introduced the kids to slip'n slide.
Sara Wells was not so sure about it.
Miller and Ella however, loved it!
Miller built up his confidence and tried some cool "ninja" moves.
Ella got in his way.
And then there was the pool!
I don't know if you have ever been to a midwest pool, but they are awesome!
The South could really learn from these!!!
No exaggeration, I think Miller went down this slide at least 50 times.
we had lots of fun just playing outside!
Parker taught Ella and Miller lots of really cool scooter tricks.
And bike tricks.
When they could not quite master Parker's skills,
they moved on to more age appropriate tricks.
And then we ended every evening with this.
