Last Sunday Murray's parents took us to have lunch with Santa. I definitely think this is a new tradition that we will have. It was way better than waiting in line at the mall and being rushed through! We got to watch Santa the entire time we eat and got to sit on his lap twice!
The kids were thrilled about seeing Santa on our drive over. Miller however, was not so thrilled to sit on Santa's lap. The photographer tried her hardest to get Miller to smile, but these were the two that they had for us to choose from...
So, of course I chose number one! How could you pass up a picture like that?
The Candy Cane from Santa did help dry the tears, as well as the cupcakes.
As I said, the kids did get to see Santa twice. Miller opted to eat the candy canes off the floor while Ella told Santa what she wanted for Christmas.
We saw our good friends Knox and Ann Tatum.
On the way home I looked back at Miller and he just sat there looking at me like he was done. Luckily my camera was right there and I was able to get a quick shot. I am glad it was Sunday and not much traffic because I only made a few people wait at the green light while I got the picture.

Celebrating Christmas!
Christmas celebration has come to the Lee household! Ella has been running around saying "we are celebrating!!!" Usually we go and get our tree and get all our decorating done in one day. Now with two little ones running around we split the decorating up into two nights. As we do every year, we started off our Christmas decorating with egg nog and Willie Nelson Christmas.
Side note: this is one of the best smiles I have ever gotten from Miller!
Miller loved the egg nog!
Cheers!
Day 2, the Christmas Tree
Miller did not make it to the end, but Ella stayed up to put the final ornament on the tree at 9:40! She loved every minute of it. You would have thought each ornament she pulled out of the box was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen.

We Got Rolled
By our kids! The kids have been playing so well together lately. They have gotten to the point where they will go down to the basement and play by themselves and actually have fun together. Tonight Murray and I sent them downstairs while I was getting dinner on the table so we could have a few peaceful minutes to catch up. They were downstairs about 15 minutes. We heard lots of laughing and yelling, but we just thought, "this is great!" When Murray called Ella and Miller upstairs to eat Ella said, "no Daddy, you come down here." We have had a little bit of a rough day as far as talking back and saying no to me. So when Ella said no again Murray went downstairs with a very stern and corrective attitude. When he got to the bottom of the stairs I heard him just start laughing in disbelief and then Ella started in. This picture is what I saw when I got downstairs. We just laughed and laughed. They actually did a very good job. I was most impressed that they actually wrapped the toilet paper around the trampoline. I guess that teaches me a lesson that I cannot be lazy when unloading the car and leave the toilet paper at the bottom of the stairs.

Fashion Tips from the Lee Children
The Bob
Ella got her first hair cut at the Beauty Salon on Thursday. As we were on the way I realized that I forgot the camera. So, sadly there are no pictures of her in the chair. But she loved every minute of it! And she loved her haircut! She looks so stylish with her cute little bob that is stacked in the back. These were the best pictures I could get of the haircut.

Cowboy Boots Take Two
After much searching, I was so disappointed to have to take Miller's newly purchased cowboy boots back to the store. I just took them back yesterday, but every time I passed them on the entry hall table waiting to go back to the store I was so sad at the thought of Miller not having cowboy boots. Just when I had given up hope one of our friends from church remembered me talking about my search for cowboy boots and gave me her son's old boots that were hardly ever worn! And Miller loves them! Thank you Tiffany!

De-Ja-Vu
It has been almost a year exactly since I posted this picture. Ella made this mess with stickers one night while I was trying to let her entertain herself to give me a few minutes to fix dinner...
You would have thought after a year of having two very active children I would have learned my lesson, but no. We have been stuck at home with the flu for a week now. The kids are definitely going crazy, but not fever free so we cannot leave. I was just trying to do something different so I pulled out the stickers again. I don't know how it happened so quickly but somehow Miller dumped out all the stickers (same box, no matter how many times we use those stickers they just will not go away. it is like they multiply over night) and spread them all over the floor. This time they were so spread out that I could not get a good picture to really capture how great a job Miller did of creating a mess!

We Survived the Summer
At some points, I did not know that it would happen. But, we survived through the rough part of the pregnancy (now I feel great). I think the only reason we made it is because we traveled a lot and I had lots of help! So, be warned, lots of pictures follow. Here is a glimpse of our summer.
Lots of trips to the lake:
I had just told Ella we were going to the lake and need to pack and when I walked in Miller's room she was packed and ready to go.
Sea-Do rides...
Lake Trip to Tennessee:
Granna's Birthday
Miller upset because he has to wait to have cake
Caught lots of BIG fish with Uncle Rich and Parker. A couple of times we thought Miller was going to jump in after the fish.
Ella got her first scooter (look how grown up she looks!)
Digging for shells
Miller working very seriously on his Blackberry like Daddy and Uncle Rich
Miller had his first serious injury. He fell off a bench and busted his head open. So instead of stitches, Daddy super glued it together. Now Daddy and Miller have matching scars.
Ate lots of marshmallows!
Trip to the Beach:
Ella learned to swim (all those swim lessons finally paid off)
Ella's First Day of School:
Ella's first Alabama Football game with Daddy
Miller's first pair of cowboy boots. Too bad we have to take them back. Miller's feet are so big that the boots are too tall. They go all the way up to the crook of his knees and he cannot walk. So, I am still on the look out for that perfect pair.
