Adventures with 4

I know some of you are wondering how this week is going. I have not posted anything yet bc it is so crazy most of the time I don't even know what to write. Yesterday we actually had a very good day at the pool and had a smooth evening out. But this story gives you a good idea of what it has been like...

we had just gotten back from the pool which actually was not absolutely crazy and i had already gotten knox and ella out of the car. ella did not have pants on bc after i had gotten her dressed at the pool she almost got back in the pool and soaked her bottom and the bottom of her legs. so ella and knox were running around the driveway while i was getting miller out of the car. knox told me he had to go to the bathroom so he dropped his drawers and peed in the grass. the next thing i notice is ella's
little white bottom standing over the grass. she had taken her diaper off and was trying to pee in the grass like knox! it was sooo cute and hilarious!!!

Finally Here

Oh where to start? The trip was not nearly as bad as it could have been with 4 kids ages 3, 2, 11 months and 3 months! The 8 hour trip only took us 9 hours. Which is much better than I expected. We made it all the way to Taledega (45 minutes) before our first stop! The problem with potty trained children (Knox, not Ella) is you have to stop and let them go to the bathroom. After our first stop Knox got a pull-up! Our main driving goal yesterday was to make it through Atlanta before rush hour traffic. We had about 30 minutes where Ann Tatum and Miller were very unhappy, but we made it through Atlanta, just barely! We stopped at the McDonald’s playground where Knox, Ella and Ann Tatum had a blast while Miller ate. The first “situation” that happened was Miller pooped everywhere and I did not pack him extra clothes in the diaper bag and there was no way I could get to the suit case! Luckily Carey was a little more prepared than me and Miller wore Knox’s pj’s. After getting 4 kids back in the car, we kept on truckin’. Miller and Ann Tatum just could not seem to fall asleep. Poor Ann Tatum was working on her first two teeth and was in so much pain. Miller stayed awake so long that he wanted to eat again. Fortunately, I did pack formula and fed Miller a bottle. I think we actually made a 4 hour stretch without stopping. Toward the end of the 4 hours the “big kids” started getting delirious from not sleeping and starving. Ella was crying in the back “eat lunch” “cacker barrel.” Thinking we would never get there, we rolled into the Cracker Barrel! Everyone in the restaurant was so great to us because they felt so sorry for us. The kids were delirious, hungry and super hyper! That is one way to get your food fast. When we got back in the car I knew I had eaten bc my plate was empty, but I could not remember eating. We all got back in the car again and finally made it! We are crazy! But it was all worth it now. The weather is beautiful and breezy. We are unpacked and as settled as can be and have even made it to the park today with chicken nuggets of course! Hopefully we will make it to the beach one day. If not, at least you can see the ocean from the park!

Gone to the Beach!!!

An entire week and no posts...I am so sorry. Part of my problem is I really don't like posting without pictures to post. And you all know the saga of my "full" computer. So I have not put many pictures or videos on the computer lately. But one of my goals today is to get an external harddrive so that I will have no more excuses! That goal may be a little lofty because tomorrow Ella, Miller and I are headed to the beach with Knox, Ann Tatum and Carey. Murray and Andrew are in Ukraine on a mission trip for 10 days, so Carey and I are headed to the beach! So, if there is another long stretch of no posting that is why. I believe we will have the internet there, but do not hold your breath for any cute pictures of Ella and Knox or Ann Tatum and Miller because Carey and I are both taking our sewing machines and are going to be busy little mamas sewing away! I have sooo many projects lined up to complete. My goal is to finish them all! But I am not going to be dissappointed if I don't, bc realistically it probably will not happen unless I start sewing as fast as Christian. Hopefully I will have some Fierce pictures to post of all of our sewing accomplishments!

Ella is TWO!!!

Friday Ella turned two! It is hard to believe how fast the time has gone! We celebrated her birthday all day long by doing some of her favorite things. We started the day off by making Pancakes! Ella loves to help in the kitchen, especially with pancakes!

After Miller's nap and opening a few presents, we set off for another favorite of Ella's, getting Chick-fil-a chicken nuggets and going to the park. Ella wept in the drive-thru line at Chick-fil-a because we were not going in and she thought she was not going to get chicken nuggets. But as soon as she realized we were heading to the park she was fine! Popa, EG and Aunt Wellon met us at the park.

After some serious playing and present opening, we headed to Publix for cupcakes. Ella went to a birthday party in February that had cupcakes and she has been asking for them ever since. Whenever we ask her what she wants for her birthday she says "Cupcakes!!!" We let Ella pick out her birthday cupcakes. The hard part was waiting to get home to eat them. Luckily we live about three minutes from Publix.

The cupcakes had flower rings on top which made them extra exciting

We ended the day with a bubble bath! These are of Ella running around after her bath in her bunny towel.

John Deer Boy

Miller's Uncle Rich, Aunt Jacqueline and Parker sent this to him I think the day we found out we were having a boy and now it finally fits and is warm enough to wear. These pictures are priceless! Jacqueline, you can tell Parker that Miller kept the hat on!
